Presbyterian Church Foreign Missions
Sound Archives

Please Note : Due to bandwith issues these files have been removed until further notice. We feel, however, that it is important that we highlight the fact that these recordings exist.

These historic sound files were originally recorded by three of our Foreign Missionaries early in 1939. They are the earliest sound recordings in our Archives and were recorded on 78 rpm gramophone records. Watch for future additions to this site.

Transfer of these recordings has been effected using modern audio equipment with noise reduction. However, some background noise is still unavoidable. Adjusting the settings on your "Wave" player may assist with reducing background noise and improving voice clarity.

Please click on the appropriate "Wave" file icon, however please be patient while the files load. We hope that you enjoy listening to these unique and historic recordings.

An updated "Wave" player may be downloaded here for free
