Academic & Student Research :

The Archives Research Centre welcomes students or academic and Professional researchers undertaking studies of specific areas covered by our archives.

Research may be undertaken free of charge by bona - fide New Zealand students visiting the archives for research provided that a copy of the completed essay or thesis is deposited in the archives. A discounted research fee will apply for NZ students unable to travel to Dunedin and for non - New Zealand students. Please refer to our "Hours & Charges" page.

Some of the archives we hold which would provide much detailed information for further research cover such diverse topics as Colonialism/Nationalism, Missionary activity, gender/sexuality, social issues, rural interests, education, relationship of State/Church, immigration, and social issues.
